"San Diego In Abstract" is a wall art print done using a fauvism technique of the San Diego skyline (fauvism: style of painting born in Paris around 1905). This technique focuses on bold brush strokes creating abstract oriented shapes and bright non-naturalistic colors creating a bold modern or contemporary look. The setting is downtown San Diego, a vibrant and active center of urban life for both the locals and the many tourist that visit the city. Sitting on the San Diego Bay facing Coronado Island, the skyline wraps around the shoreline from the Coronado Bay Bridge on the south end to the airport on the north end of the bay. Having grown dramatically in the last 20 years, there has been a resurgence of building in downtown along the bay. With the construction of Petco Park for the Padres near the convention center and the Gaslamp Quarter, high-rise condos and office buildings starting popping up everywhere.
When considering an art print, the interior design of the room comes into play and the look you are going for with any given print comes into the decision process. An influencing factor is the framing and matting style, which can dictate what décor the final piece will look good in versus just the style of the art print.
I offer this print personally signed by me in the size stated. This will be printed on Epson Premium Semi-matte Photo Paper. The paper is 10 ml in thickness, with 96% opacity and a 94 ISO brightness rating. The print is then hand cut, signed by me and packaged in a mailing tube for protection.
