Hay Barn is a sepia tone photographic wall art print of an old barn located in the Amana Colonies. I was on a photo shoot of farms around the Amana Colonies in Eastern Iowa. The timeframe was the middle of a February that hadn’t produced much snow. With little or no snow on the ground, the scenery takes on a barren look, which the sepia tone highlights. I love the look of this old hay barn which is still being used. (Click on the picture for a larger image)
I used a sepia tone finish on the photograph for that old rustic look. The sepia brown tones originated with film photography as part of the process to develop the prints in the 1800’s. Today, we can recreate that same vintage look digitally. This type of wall art print lends itself to a rustic or old vintage type of interior decoration. Even with that said, I have seen this style used in more modern decor that had earth tone elements to it. The way a print is matted and framed can change the entire look of the print.
I offer this print personally signed by me in the size stated. This will be printed on Epson Premium Glossy Photo Paper, which is 10 ml in thickness, 97% opacity and a 92 ISO brightness rating. The print is then hand cut, signed by me and packaged in a mailing tube for protection.
