Artist Statement: The art prints in the Color Photography Gallery are a series of my photographs representing various subjects. I have included a wide variety of photographic elements and subjects. The common thread is that I think the subjects in this collection represent some of my best photographic efforts. To take a color photograph and present it as an art print leaves very little margin for error in the technical presentation. The capture must be in sharp focus and composed well to present the subject in its best light. With all of those elements in place, there must still be a dynamic presentation of color. The contrasting and complimenting colors are as important as the technical presentation. If your color is not telling the story, then what is the point?
